Vapor polishing plastics is a specialist technique that can be used to enhance component features or improve optical clarity on plastic materials such as Acrylic (PMMA), Polycarbonate or Ultem. Vapor polishing is ideally suited to the polishing of small features and offers vast improvements to internal and external surface finishes especially after machining. Using Vapor to polish plastic has the advantage of being able to polish internal, detailed features such as threads, apertures, channels and sample inspection areas that would be impossible with manual polishing process. It also offers several advantages over flame polishing as it is more precise, uniform, controllable and can be used on internal features.
